German forward Kevin Grosskreutz has dealt a blow to suitors from the Premier League by announcing he has no intention of leaving Borussia Dortmund.
The 24-year-old is currently on the fringes of Jurgen Klopp's first team and talks over a new deal with the Bundesliga champions have stalled.
That has put a number of interested English clubs on alert, but Grosskreutz has insisted he does not want to leave and is keen to persevere with contract negotiations.
He told Sport-Bild: "I have no trouble with Borussia Dortmund and, basically, I do not want to leave.
"I am not giving up just because I am not in the first team. Borussia Dortmund always was and still is my favourite club.
"Until now I have not been receiving a new deal I could sign straight away. I am looking forward to receiving that kind of new contract proposal."
Grosskreutz has made 19 appearances for Dortmund this season, seven from the substitutes' bench, scoring once.
