Groves splits with Warren
George Groves has withdrawn from his forthcoming bout against Mohamed Ali Ndiaye and split with promoter Frank Warren.
The 24-year-old was due to challenge for the vacant European super-middleweight title as part of a Warren bill which also features Ricky Burns and Nathan Cleverly.
However, Groves has decided he is not interested in competing for the EBU title, meaning the fight against the Senegalese will not go ahead.
A statement from Warren read: "He has stated that he is not interested in boxing for the EBU title at this moment and would like to take his choice of fights in another direction.
"I would like to wish George all the best with his career and look forward to working again with him in the near future."
