Guidetti wants more game time

On-loan Stoke striker John Guidetti has revealed his disappointment after getting four minutes of playing time against Sunderland.

The 21-year-old didn't feature at all in the FA Cup defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend and is getting frustrated with the lack of opportunities under Mark Hughes.

Guidetti told Swedish newspaper Sportbladet: "I want to play football. Not to sit on the bench.

"If I had been satisfied with that, I could just as well have stayed at Manchester City."

The Swedish international, who joined Stoke at the beginning of the month, has made two substitute appearances since joining including a brief cameo against Sunderland on Wednesday night.

Guidetti conceded: "Sunderland were slightly better than us, after all.

"All I can do is continue to work hard during the training session."
