Guineas aim for Rizeena
Top juvenile Rizeena will begin her three-year-old campaign in the QIPCO 1000 Guineas at Newmarket next spring.
Clive Brittain's classy filly, who won the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh, met with defeat on the final start of her campaign in the Fillies' Mile at Newmarket when beaten by Chriselliam.
Rizeena won the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot in June over five furlongs, but Brittain feels she will be capable of staying middle distances next season.
"She's in very good form, but I didn't put a saddle on her for a week after Newmarket," he told At The Races.
"She's a natural athlete, she does everything with so much ease.
"I put her in the class of Sayyedati and she is. We got beat at Newmarket but that was for two reasons I think. We expected a little bit more give in the ground and I thought we went and won the race too soon and Richard Hughes, being Richard Hughes, spotted it and came and beat us.
"She's finished for the season, although she would be well able to run again. We've seen enough of Rizeena for one year.
"We'll just have her nice and fresh for the Guineas, that'll be her first race next year.
"I'm pretty certain she'll stay beyond a mile. That's for us to discuss with the owners, but she'll be entered in all the Classics and she'll have a Classic campaign."
