Morecambe boss Jim Bentley admits his side's 1-0 defeat to Torquay at Plainmoor has hit him hard.
Torquay winger Danny Stevens scored the game's only goal when he sidefooted the ball beyond the reach of diving Shrimps keeper Barry Roche and in off the inside of the post on the half hour.
And despite two late chances for keeper Roche of all people Bentley was left with a lot to ponder for the long trip home.
He said: "Certain defeats hit me worse than others. It is never nice to lose any game of football but I am massively frustrated today. We had a long journey and one or two injuries and suspensions.
"I am disappointed to lose any game. We played some decent stuff at times, we created chances and there seems to be a very fine line between winning and losing games of football. Unfortunately we have fallen just below that line and one mistake in the middle of the park has cost us.
"They got the goal and it gave them something to hang on to .You don't deserve anything out of football if you don't take your chances and we had chances to nick a point."
