Hannover stall contract talks

Hannover 96's Dirk Dufner has revealed players out of contract at the end of the season will have to wait for new deals.

The German club have a host of first-team players who have contracts which are set to end at the end of the season, including former Manchester United player Mame Biram Diouf, Didier Ya Konan, Steven Cherindolo, Christian Schulz and Leon Andreasen.

However, Dufner is adamant that the club will postpone their decision on who they will offer new contracts until until the culmination of the season. Hannover are currently sit in 10th position and are only seven points above the relegation zone.

When speaking to BILD, the general manager said: "We do not want to hold out on a player. But in the situation we are in, we cannot focus on things like contracts. They players will have to accept that."
