Hargreaves relished temp role

Bournemouth development coach Chris Hargreaves admitted he enjoyed his 10 days in charge of the club alongside Dennis Rofe.

The pair prepared the first-team squad ahead of Saturday's victory over Leyton Orient and Hargreaves believes the returning Eddie Howe is inheriting a good squad of players.

"I was very satisfied with how it went and it gave me a taste of it," he told the club's official website.

"We tried hard with the players during the week and it was good. They listened, did really well and in the second half on Saturday did exactly what we planned.

"I'm really pleased for the players because they have had a bit of a tough couple of weeks. They needed to give a performance, and they did just that.

"It would have been great for Eddie and Jason sat in the stands to see that. They can now start on the back of a win and he is taking over a good group of players."
