Friday afternoon's meeting at Haydock has passed an early-morning inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.
Course officials needed to assess conditions due to the fear of waterlogging.
But the ground was deemed raceable following three millimetres of rainfall on Thursday.
The going on Merseyside is currently heavy.
Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright: "We had a sharp shower at 7pm yesterday that produced three millimetres, but that was it.
"It was as good an outcome as we could have hoped for.
"Conditions are testing, but it is great to be racing."
