Charlie Hills reports Hazel Lavery on course for the Worthington's Champion Shield Navigation Brewery Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.
The three-year-old filly is set to take on her elders in the Group Three contest, registered as the St Simon Stakes, following a fine effort at Doncaster last month.
Hazel Lavery was runner-up to Wild Coco in the Group Two Park Hill Stakes over an extended mile and three-quarters and drops back to a mile and a half at the weekend.
She took the Listed Newsells Park Stud Stakes at Newmarket the last time she tackled that distance in July.
"She's going to run there. I'm very pleased with her. She will love the ground and we will just have to see what's in the race," said Lambourn-based Hills.
"She ran a great race at Doncaster last time."
