Hearts boosted by Walker news
Rock-bottom Scottish Premiership club Hearts have been handed a timely boost with the news that Jamie Walker could be fit to face Celtic this weekend.
The in-form winger was injured in Saturday's meeting with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and it was thought his Achilles problem could sideline him for some time.
However, after being assessed by the club's medical department, the 20-year-old's injury is not as bad as first feared and he will be given every chance to make the trip to Parkhead on Saturday.
"With Ryan Stevenson, Mark Ridgers and Jason Holt all out at the moment, we can ill afford any more injuries with the size of squad we have just now," manager Gary Locke told Hearts News.
"It is good news that Jamie's injury doesn't appear to be anything too serious so we'll monitor him during the week and see how he is nearer to the match."
