Heat hit back after edgy start

LeBron James was once again the star performer as the Miami Heat beat the Indiana Pacers 99-87 in game three of the Eastern Conference finals.

With the series finely poised at 1-1, the Heat made a disastrous start and trailed by 15 points at one stage in the first quarter, while it was not until the second half of the match that the tide turned.

Key to the turnaround was four-time NBA MVP James, who poured in 26 points, with Dwayne Wade adding 23 and Ray Allen contributing 16 as the Heat took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
