Heat too hot for Celtics

The Miami Heat came from 15 points down to beat the Boston Celtics 115-111 and claim a 2-1 lead in their Eastern Conference final series.

The Heat were 39-24 down in the second, but rallied thanks to 34 points and 10 rebounds from LeBron James.

The loss was particularly tough on Rajon Rondo, who scored 44 points, provided 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds in a stellar performance. He scored all 12 of Boston's points in overtime.

That they made it that far was thanks to Ray Allen's three-pointer 34.3 seconds from the end after they had let Miami storm back and take the lead.

But it was not enough as the Heat had more in overtime.

Dwayne Wade scored 23 points for Miami and Mario Chalmers 22.

The seven-game series heads to Boston on Friday, when the Celtics will look to keep themselves in contention.
