Defender Michael Hector has returned to parent club Reading on a permanent basis following his loan spell with Shrewsbury.
The centre-back, 20, had been due to remain with the Shrews until January but was sent back to the Royals by Town boss Graham Turner two weeks ago in order to train and play reserve games.
Turner felt Hector needed to pick up more experience but had not completely ruled him out of playing again for Shrewsbury before his agreement was due to expire.
