Heerenveen climb to fifth

Heerenveen climbed to fifth in the Eredivisie standings on Friday night with a 2-1 victory at PEC Zwolle.

Alfred Finnbogason netted both goals for the visitors, the first through a 32nd-minute penalty after Luciano Slagveer had been fouled by goalkeeper Diederik Boer and then a 69th-minute winner after Joost Broerse's free-kick had got the hosts level early in the second half.

The result lifted Marco van Basten's side three places in the table and within seven points of leaders Vitesse. PEC remained ninth.
