Heracles compound Waalwijk woes

RKC Waalwijk failed to ease their relegation worries as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Heracles in Friday's only Eredivisie fixture.

The Almelo hosts went in front four minutes before the interval through Bryan Linssen, with Mark Uth adding a second after 54 minutes.

RKC closed the gap 13 minutes later with a goal from Damiano Schet but an equaliser failed to materialise and they remain two points off the foot of the table.

If results go against them over the weekend, RKC could find themselves propping up the standings by Sunday evening, while Heracles climb to ninth with the win.
