Fife Flyers prevailed in a shootout to inflict a second successive Elite League defeat on fourth-placed Cardiff Devils.
The match finished 4-4 at the end of regulation time, with eight different goalscorers, and there was no further score in overtime as the game headed for penalties.
Bobby Chaumont, who had a goal and two assists in regulation time, and fellow goalscorer Jason Pitton earned Fife victory as only Max Birbraer could find the net for Cardiff.
Elsewhere, there were rare wins for the league's bottom two sides, Hull Stingrays and Edinburgh Capitals.
The Yorkshire side enjoyed a 5-1 rout of Dundee Stars, Dominic Osman scoring twice, while Edinburgh were almost as emphatic in beating Braehead Clan 4-1.
