Hill dreaming of stellar cup tie
Keith Hill is dreaming of a third round FA Cup tie against one of the English football's giants after Rochdale's 2-1 win over Rotherham.
Lee Frecklington gave Rotherham the lead after five minutes, but Rochdale's revival started 10 minutes after the break when Michael Lund chested home Michael Rose's cross from just a yard out.
And when the Millers were reduced to 10 men with 17 minutes to go after Michael Tidser collected his second yellow card, Rochdale took full advantage with Peter Vincenti grabbing the winner with seven minutes left from fellow substitute Joe Bunney's cross.
That meant Rochdale progressed into the next round for the first time since 2005.
"It can mean so much for a club like ours, I think it's nine years since we were previously there," he said
"There's a little bit of prize money in the bank and hopefully we can get a very good game for the next round. As a player and a manager, you want to progress in the competition.
"I would love a top four side or team that is active in the Champions League . It would be brilliant for the football club . To bring a little bit of that FA Cup magic to Spotland or taste playing say Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United away that would be special for the football club and the players.
"We may deserve that little bit of luck and fortune in the draw.
"I asked the players to respond in the second half and they did. It's about bravery in possession and out of possession and I think we showed that bravery in the second half.
"It's about the players responding without fear and I think they did that. They have responded with courage and we saw that in the second half performance.
"We have overcome a very good side .They are a good side and we witnessed it watching DVD after DVD so I am really pleased."
