Barnsley manager Keith Hill hopes his side can secure Championship safety by clinching the three points needed at Hull on Tuesday.
The Tykes have won only one of their last 12 matches, losing nine of them, but still remain seven points above the relegation zone with three games remaining.
Hill said after his side's weekend defeat to Cardiff: "I'm reasonably pleased with the performance, but it's not a performance business, it's a results business and we haven't got the result.
"But hopefully we will pick up the points we need against Hull City, if not Bristol City and if not then it goes to Brighton.
"We still have a cushion of seven points, but it would be nice if we could put it to bed ourselves on Tuesday."
