Hills lowers sights with Catrine

Charlie Hills is planning to come back in trip and grade with Queen Catrine after she faded out of contention in the French 1,000 Guineas.

The daughter of Acclamation was placed at Pattern level on numerous occasions during her juvenile year and finished an encouraging fifth on her return to action in Newmarket's Nell Gwyn Stakes last month.

However, having cut out of much of the running in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches in Paris, she eventually weakened and passed the post 11th of the 16 runners.

Hills said: "She was quickly away and ended up in front, which was plan b really.

"I think we'll try to find a Group Three for her now and come down in grade.

"We'll probably also come back in trip. I think six furlongs might be her best trip in time."
