Hirscher wins in Adelboden

Austria's Marcel Hirscher powered to the summit of the overall World Cup standings after claiming victory in Sunday's slalom in Switzerland.

Hirscher came home three-tenths clear of Sweden's Andre Myhrer, finishing in a combined time of one minute 49.75 seconds, while Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen was third in Adelboden.

Hirscher, the two-time defending World Cup champion, returns to the top of the standings with his latest win, ahead of Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal by 23 points.
