Hogg injury boost for Hornets

Watford have received the positive news that Jonathan Hogg did not suffer serious injury at the weekend.

The midfielder was on the end of an ugly challenge from Middlesbrough's Stephen McManus which forced him off just after half-time in the 2-1 victory.

But the Head of the Hornets medical team Dave Hart told the club's official website: "There's no break, that's the most important thing to report.

"Jonathan has sustained some severe bruising to his shin bone but we expect to be able to manage that through."
