Hot Prospect set for Doncaster
Sirius Prospect will head for the OLBG Park Stakes at Doncaster's St Leger meeting on September 14 after his success at York on Saturday.
The five-year-old was winning on the Knavesmire for the second time this summer and appears to have recaptured the form which made his such a promising sort for trainer Dean Ivory two seasons ago.
"We'll aim for Doncaster with Sirius Prospect, the Group Two over seven furlongs (Park Stakes)," said the Hertfordshire handler. "He's like a breath of fresh air this year after last season.
"He's won two nice races and I think there's more to come from him, certainly over seven furlongs, and I wouldn't be afraid of trying him over a mile at some stage.
"The worry would be if it was soft ground over a mile, I wouldn't want to bottom him. Robert (Winston, jockey) was only hands and heels on him so I think it was pretty comfortable."
