Howard: We play without fear
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard feels that the Toffees are showing they can play without fear against the top sides.
Everton have enjoyed an impressive season thus far and currently sit in sixth spot in the Premier League, just two points behind city rivals Liverpool who they face at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Against the traditional top-four sides - Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - the Toffees are unbeaten, picking up two wins and two draws in four games. Howard is hoping that they can continue that form against the Reds in midweek.
The United States international said: "I don't think we go anywhere fearful. We know it's a tough place to play, not only because it is a derby but because Liverpool are playing so well.
"But we are confident - it's not as though we are going to shrink from the opportunity. We are excited - we went to Old Trafford and won, we've beaten Chelsea, and things are going well in the big games.
"The psychological impact of winning at Old Trafford helps, because it gives you that comfort of going into work every day knowing it is not an impossible task.
"To win at Anfield would be just another statement but, even if we beat Liverpool, we will still probably be under the radar - and I think that suits us."
