Howarth happy with Robins win
Cheltenham assistant Neil Howarth was pleased to see Town gain their first League Two win of the season with a 1-0 victory at Accrington.
The Robins, who have made the play-offs for the last two years, gained a welcome boost when Peter Murphy was judged to have fouled Craig Braham-Barrett in the 71st minute and the resulting Matt Richards' set-piece was tucked home by Jason Taylor.
"These are tough places to come, it's a long journey and it was a scrappy game but we got the all-important three points," said Howarth.
"We have got our first clean sheet of the season and that was important after last week where we played poorly at Plymouth and lost (3-1).
"We didn't want to overreact but we have worked hard in training sessions and in meetings this week to find out what went wrong.
"We have bounced back. We haven't played as well as we can but it's an important victory.
"We have a good squad - you can tell that with Jermaine McGlashan on the bench - and we have now got to kick on."
