Hughes cools Adam rumours
Mark Hughes says he knows nothing about Galatasaray's reported interest in Charlie Adam.
The Stoke midfielder has three goals in his last six games, and reports this week claimed his form had caught the eye of Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini.
But Hughes said: "I don't know where that came from.
"Charlie's a good player and he's playing very well at the moment. If they've been watching his recent games they would have been impressed, like a lot of teams are. But no comment to that one."
Hughes' January focus is on signing players rather than selling, and striker John Guidetti has already arrived on loan from the manager's old club Manchester City.
Guidetti scored 20 goals during a season with Feyenoord in 2011/12, but he has suffered serious illness and a long-term knee injury since then.
"He was still a young boy when I was there," Hughes said, "but we kept an eye on him.
"He obviously had a great spell in Dutch football. Unfortunately for the boy he had injury problems and illness that set his career back, but he's been back training for a number of months and he gives us a different option up front."
