David Hussey shone as Kings XI Punjab defeated Deccan Chargers by four wickets in Mohali.
Set a daunting 191 to win from their 20 overs, Kings XI had Hussey to thank as the Australian smashed four fours and five sixes in an unbeaten 35-ball 65, his efforts supplemented by Azhar Mahmood (31) and Mandeep Singh (28).
Gurkeerat Singh's unbeaten 33 off only 12 deliveries was also key to the victory, the number eight smashing the winning runs in the 19th over to keep Kings XI in the race for the play-offs.
Defeat was hard on the Chargers, who had earlier worked themselves into a good position after racking up 190 for four from their 20 overs.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan hit 71 off 50 deliveries while Cameron White weighed in with an unbeaten 67 off 41 balls as the Chargers just failed to do enough to earn the victory.
