Ibrahimovic ban irks Ancelotti
Paris St Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has hit out at the two-match ban given to striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic by UEFA.
The Swedish striker was sent off in the closing stages of PSG's win over Valencia in the Champions League for a challenge on Andres Guardado.
Ibrahimovic will miss the return leg in the French capital, and the first leg of the quarter-final, if PSG qualify.
UEFA had confirmed they had extended the initial one-match ban handed to the 31-year-old, drawing an angry response from the PSG manager who said the club was planning an appeal against the decision.
"I am surprised, but I was already surprised by the red card," said Ancelotti.
"To get a two-match ban is incredible and I hope UEFA go back on their decision.
"I really hope they will reverse it because to get two games is incredible. Yes, we will appeal."
