Phillips Idowu has handed Team GB a huge fitness boost following fears he could miss the Olympic Games.
UK Athletics chief Charles van Commenee claimed last week that the triple jumper - one of the country's brightest medal hopes this summer - was suffering from a mystery injury.
But Idowu told Sky Sports News talk of a problem following his withdrawal from an event in Oregon last month had been exaggerated.
"I'm in good shape, very good shape," he said. "I'm doing everything I need to do to make sure I'm prepared for these Games.
"I pulled out of that competition because it was wet and cold, I slipped slightly on the board ... it was purely precautionary. This is a year I'm not going to take any risks.
"I've never said anything about injuries. I've just kept my head down and will try to do the team proud."
Eyes will be on the 2008 silver medallist when he competes at this weekend's warm-up Diamond League meeting at Crystal Palace.
