Iginla lifts streaking Bruins

Jarome Iginla scored twice as the Boston Bruins stretched their winning streak to eight with a 5-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Milan Lucic, Torey Krug and Chris Kelly also scored and David Krejci provided three assists, while Chad Johnson made 29 saves on Tuukka Rask's day off.

Alexander Semin scored for the Hurricanes.

Matt Read scored twice and Steve Mason claimed a shut-out on 25 saves as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0.

Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier got the Flyers' other two goals.

Ben Bishop got his 31st win of the season and a 23-save shut-out as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the New Jersey Devils 3-0.

Goals from Michael Kostka, BJ Crombeen and Nate Thompson helped Bishop set a new Lightning record for wins in a season.

Two goals from Patrik Berglund saw the in-form St Louis Blues claime their seventh win in eight, overcoming the Nashville Predators 4-1.

Vladimir Tarasenko and Alexander Steen also tallied for the Blues.

Francis Bouillon scored an overtime winner as the Montreal Canadiens edged out the Ottawa Senators 5-4.

The New York Islanders beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-1 and the Phoenix Coyotes overcame the Calgary Flames 3-2, while there were also wins for the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Anaheim Ducks.
