Inter coach on Sneijder situation

Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni has again stressed he is the only person who decides whether to select midfielder Wesley Sneijder or not.

The Holland international has not played for the first team since September due to a long-running contract dispute with the club.

Inter are keen to cut costs and have asked Snejider, the club's top earner on a reported €6million a season, to renegotiate his contract.

The former Real Madrid man has so far resisted any attempts to take a pay cut and as a result found himself out in the cold.

Stramaccioni insists that any decision not to pick Snejider is his and not imposed upon him by the club's hierarchy.

"I think I have spoken about this argument in an exhaustive way, as has the president [Massimo Morrati]," said Stramaccioni. "All the choices over all the Inter players, I repeat, are only my evaluations.

"So, also for Sneijder it will be only the coach's choice. I take responsibility for this.

"He feels good, he's training with his team-mates. I ask you not to ask me any more questions on this."
