Interest mounts in Sadler

Sky Sports understands a number of clubs are chasing former Crawley Town defender Mat Sadler.

Sadler is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Crawley this summer.

Crawley were hoping to keep hold of the former Birmingham and Watford defender, but the player has decided to move on for a fresh challenge.

Sadler was an ever-present last season, making 51 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, and he was one of the best performers for John Gregory's side.

News of Sadler's availability on a free transfer has alerted the likes of Bradford, Rotherham and Patrick Thistle, who are all keen to land the left-back.
