Iran finish warm-ups with win

Charlton's Reza Ghoochannejhad was on target as Iran completed their World Cup warm-ups with a 2-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago.

Played behind closed doors at Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo, and Carlos Queiroz saw his side grab their first win in their pre World Cup programme.

In the last few weeks, Iran had played out three draws against Belarus, Montenegro and Angola.

Now in their first game on Brazilian soil, they sealed a 2-0 win ahead of their opening game against Nigeria on June 16.

The win came courtesy of two goals either side of the interval with midfielder Ehsan Hajsafi putting them ahead on the stroke of half-time.

The second came from Ghoochannejhad as he fired home on 54-minutes to seal victory.
