Ireland announce Turkey date

The Republic of Ireland will face Turkey in a friendly international in Dublin on Sunday, May 25.

The match, at the Aviva Stadium, will form part of manager Martin O'Neill's preparations ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign which begins next season.

The FA of Ireland is hoping to organise a number of other friendly matches before qualifying for Euro 2016 starts in September.

The Republic of Ireland and Turkey have met each other 12 times, with the Irish victorious in five, with just one defeat.

Neither nation has qualified for this year's World Cup finals in Brazil.

Tickets for the match will be 20 euros for adults and 10 for children.

The match will be preceded by the FAI Umbro Junior Cup final.
