James injured in Heat win

LeBron James scored 33 points before a facial injury forced him off court in the Miami Heat's 103-81 victory at the Oklahoma City Thunder.

James suffered a bloody nose after a collision with Oklahoma's Serge Ibaka in the final quarter as he went to the hoop for a dunk, and though he left the court and did not return he successfully passed a concussion test after the match.

He outscored the Thunder's star man Kevin Durant, who managed 28 points.

The win took the reigning NBA champions to a record of 39 wins and 14 defeats for the season to stay second in the Eastern Conference behind the Indiana Pacers.

The Houston Rockets' eight-game winning run came to an end in California as the Golden State Warriors sealed a 102-99 overtime victory on their home court.

Stephen Curry levelled the match with 3.2 seconds left in the final quarter, and also contributed two vital free throws in the additional period to steer the Warriors to victory.

Houston's defeat meant they failed to close the gap to Western Conference leaders Oklahoma, with the Rockets' regular season record now standing at 37-18, the third best in the Conference.

The Milwaukee Bucks lost again, going down 101-90 at home to the Denver Nuggets, for whom Kenneth Faried led the scoring with 26 points.

The Bucks have the worst record in the whole league and are now 10-44 for the season.
