James shines in Heat victory

LeBron James scored 20 points to lead the Miami Heat to their seventh straight win as the Orlanaod Magic were seen off 112-98.

Still wearing a mask to protect his broken nose, James backed up a solid effort from Dwayne Wade, who scored 24 points, with Chris Bosh also adding 20.

Tobias Harris paced the Magic with 20 points.

Robin Lopez led Portland with 18 points as the Trail Blazers made it five wins in a row by beating the Denver Nuggets 102-96.

LaMarcus Aldridge added 16 points on his return from injury.

Trevor Ariza poured in 40 points to help Washington stretch their winning streak to six with a 122-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ariza sunk eight three-pointers on his way to a career-high total, spoiling the night for Philadelphia as they celebrated retiring Allen Iverson's number.

Kevin Martin's 26 points helped the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 108-97 win over the Sacramento Kings, while Terence Jones had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the Houston Rockets' 118-110 win over the Detroit Pistons.

There were also wins for the Indiana Pacers, the Brooklyn Nets, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Anegeles Clippers.
