John-Lewis eyes top-six spot

Bury forward Lenell John-Lewis has his sights set on a League One play-off place this season.

The Shakers have performed above expectations following their promotion from League Two last term and are currently nine points shy of the top six.

John-Lewis was on target when Richie Barker's side claimed an impressive 1-1 draw at leaders Charlton earlier this month and the former Lincoln man, who recently penned a one-year contract extension at Gigg Lane, is not lacking in ambition.

"I don't think settling is ever a good job, you want to get as high as you can go," he told BBC Radio Manchester.

"We have got enough definitely to push to the play-offs but I know our focus is staying in the league.

"Once we have achieved that we see where we can go."
