Jordan calls for patience

Joe Jordan believes it would be a mistake for the Scottish Football Association to dismiss manager Craig Levein.

The Scotland boss has come under increasing pressure following a disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign.

Scotland have yet to register victory in any of the four qualifying games and are sitting bottom of the Group A table.

And Scotland legend Jordan insists Levein should be given maximum time to try and revive the nation's chances.

Jordan said: "We're not at the beginning or the end of a campaign - we're more or less right in the middle of it.

"It's a delicate time. That's something they have to think through because you're in the middle of a campaign

"I think he wants to prove he can succeed. I think it's going to be a difficult one.

"Looking at the league position you are looking for other countries to slip up before Scotland can progress and hopefully qualify."
