Jovetic raring to hit Hammers

Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is raring to make his long-awaited comeback against West Ham on Tuesday.

The Montenegro international has only made five appearances since his 22million switch from Fiorentina in the summer of 2013 due to injury worries.

He has not featured since October but announced through his Instagram account he would be 'back on Tuesday' for the Capital One Cup semi-final second leg at West Ham.

While Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini says the striker is 'close' to a comeback, he is yet to decide if Jovetic will feature in the clash, in which City have a 6-0 first leg lead.

Not finished

Pellegrini told the Manchester Evening News: "We will see how he works.

"On Monday we will decide. I will think about that. We have to play there. The semi-final is not finished.

"Of course we have made an important step but we must see which players will play and the way we will do it."
