Kane thankful to Sherwood
Harry Kane admits he is grateful to manager Tim Sherwood for handing him the opportunity to break into the Tottenham first team.
Kane, 20, has scored four goals in 18 appearances for the Spurs after arriving back from a loan spell at Leicester City in the summer.
And the England Under-21 international has made a string of impressive displays at White Hart Lane since being given his chance by Sherwood.
"He gave me the chance here. I was training well and looking sharp," Kane is quoted in The Sun.
"When he was going to play me, he let me know a few days before and I've been able to repay his faith with the goals.
"Tim knew what I could do. I have known him for a while and he has seen me score goals before. He has just told me to play my game, be confident and express myself.
"Establishing myself has always been a goal for me. Even when I was out on loan, I knew I wanted to come back and play for Tottenham.
"To do that this season has been great - having someone like Emmanuel Adebayor around is helpful too.
"He's been around top clubs in Europe and to play alongside these guys is great. It can only help."
