Kaufmann-Abderhalden grabs win

Switzerland's Marianne Kaufmann-Abderhalden claimed her first World Cup win with victory in the downhill at Val D'Isere on Saturday.

Kaufmann-Abderhalden completed her two runs in one minute 47.28 seconds to win triumph ahead of Slovenia's Tina Maze.

Cornelia Hutter of Austria was third.

Lindsey Vonn was one of eight competitors to ski out during the first run, with her troublesome right knee again appearing to cause her problems.
