Kavanagh: We weren't very good

Carlisle assistant boss Graham Kavanagh described his side's defending as "terrible" after their 4-2 home defeat to Bournemouth.

Mark Pugh struck twice for Bournemouth in the eighth and 31st minutes and although Ryan Noble pulled one back for Carlisle in the first half, Lewis Grabban and Lee Barnard struck again for the visitors after the break before Carlisle substitute Dave Symington struck late on.

Symington fired his first league goal in the 76th minute, but it could not paper over Carlisle's defensive frailties.

Kavanagh said: "We defended terribly and it was a frustrating performance. To be fair to the lads they kept going, but the sooner we turn it around the better."

Kavanagh added: "We weren't very good. Once we conceded the second goal there was only one team in it."
