Kearney confirms Bradford exit

Bradford Bulls full-back Brett Kearney has revealed he will return to Australia at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has made over 100 Super League appearances since joining Bradford in 2010, but could not prevent the club from suffering relegation during a dismal campaign.

Preparations for life in the Championship have already begun, with the Bulls starting to reshape their squad, and Kearney has confirmed he will depart after the completion of his contract.

Bradford were hindered by a points deduction for falling into administration, but Kearney is confident they gain promotion at the first attempt.

"My decision to leave was a family one and they come first," he said in a message on Bradford's Twitter account.

"We have had a difficult few years, but the support from the terraces has never wavered. For that, I would like to thank our fantastic fans and great staff at the club.

"I believe the Bulls are in brilliant hands and I look forward to seeing them back in Super League as soon as possible."
