Keighley Courts Kempton return

Champion Court is set to seek compensation at Kempton on Saturday week after a luckless outing in the William Hill King George VI Chase.

Trainer Martin Keighley will be hoping for better fortune after Ian Popham was unseated from his stable stalwart when interfered with by Riverside Theatre at the fifth fence in the Boxing Day showpiece.

"He was unlucky in the King George. Riverside Theatre cannoned into him and knocked Ian (Popham) off," Keighley told At The Races.

"He's come out of that really well. There's a Listed chase at Kempton next Saturday. He'll probably go there. The Ryanair will be his target at the Cheltenham Festival."
