Kent and Yorks share the spoils

Torrential overnight rain left umpires Peter Willey and Trevor Jesty no option but to call off the final day's play between Kent and Yorkshire.

Kent were due to resume on 350 for nine in the County Championship Division Two match in reply to Yorkshire's first innings 247, but a sodden outfield at Canterbury forced the game to be abandoned as a draw.

Kent take 10 points and Yorkshire seven.
