Alan King is looking to give Fair Trade a third run over hurdles in order to qualify for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.
A smart performer on the Flat for David Elsworth, Fair Trade has been placed in both his starts over jumps and opened his account for King in a 'jumpers' bumper' at Kempton on Friday.
"Fair Trade found the ground too soft on his two runs for us over hurdles, but he did that well and what pleased me most is how he is now settling in his races," the Barbury Castle trainer told www.alankingracing.co.uk.
"I would like to run him in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Festival, but he will need one more run over hurdles to qualify and we will look for something in a couple of weeks time."
