Kings XI make it two in a row

Kings XI Punjab made it back-to-back wins in the Indian Premier League with a nail-biting two-run victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders.

After limiting Kings XI to 134 for nine, with Sunil Narine taking five for 19 off his four overs, hosts Kolkata looked in good shape to claim the victory after reaching 72 for two in the 12th over of their reply.

However, they then lost four important wickets for the addition of only 15 runs and despite Debabrata Das' 35 not out, the home side came up just short, finishing on 132 for seven.

Slow bowlers Piyush Chawla (three for 18) and Bhargav Bhatt (two for 24) played key roles for the victors, who continue their recovery after losing their opening two IPL matches.
