Kiyotake cools Villa talk
Aston Villa's pursuit of Hiroshi Kiyotake appears to be over after the Japan international revealed he wants to stay at Nurnberg.
The 23-year-old impressed during his first season at the Bundesliga club since signing from Cerezo Osaka last summer.
Aston Villa were keen on acquiring the playmaker's services and have already had one bid rejected, with speculation a second bid could be in the offing.
Nurnberg for their part have been vocal in their determination to keep the player in Germany and will resist any offers that come in.
When quizzed on a potential move to Villa Park, Kiyotake admitted he was flattered but stressed that he has no desire to move to England any time soon.
"I am a player well honoured by transfer options but this [a move to Aston Villa] is definitely something I consider as done," he said.
"I am with Nurnberg and I am feeling fine about it. I am focused on Bundesliga action. At this moment in time I am not keen on Premiership football."
