Knicks sink Heat to go clear
The New York Knicks made it look easy even without Carmelo Anthony as they beat the Miami Heat 112-92 to go clear in the Eastern Conference.
Raymond Felton stepped up with a season-high 27 points as New York claimed their second win of the season over Miami.
Steve Novak had 18 points while JR Smith and Tyson Chandler had 13 apiece while Anthony sat out, one day after getting stitches on a finger injury.
LeBron James had 31 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in vain for Miami.
OJ Mayo scored 23 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the struggling Phoenix Suns 97-94.
Phoenix had come from 15 down to tie it in the final minute, but Mayo put Dallas on top once more as the Suns suffered a fifth straight loss.
Brandan Wright and Darren Collison each scored 16 for Dallas, while Markieff Morris had 15 points and 17 rebounds for the Suns.
