Knight floors red-hot favourite
Gary Moore and his son Josh pulled off a fairly big shock in the £32 Bonus At 32Red Casino Juvenile Hurdle at Sandown on Saturday.
The Paul Nicholls representative For Two went off the 1-3 favourite after showing promise on his British debut, but Daryl Jacob's mount could not find quite enough in a duel with Moore's 20-1 newcomer Knight Of Pleasure and gave best by two and a quarter lengths.
"He has always worked like a good horse but he had never seen a racecourse and I thought Paul Nicholls' horse would be good enough to beat him on ratings," said Moore.
"There are two obvious targets (Triumph Hurdle and a Grade One at Aintree), as I wouldn't think he would win a Fred Winter having beaten a horse rated 138."
William's Wishes was down on his nose at the second-last fence of the 32Red Casino Handicap Chase but was still good enough to win well.
An even-money favourite who is now unbeaten in five starts over fences, he was switched to the inside by Paul Moloney and stretched two lengths clear of Nozic on the run-in.
"He's a very difficult horse to work out, he was a bit keen and made mistakes, and he only disappoints you at home," said trainer Evan Williams.
"He's entered for the Victor Chandler at Ascot but would be far more likely to go over to Ireland for the Dan Moore Handicap Chase (January 20 at Fairyhouse)."
Bottom-weight Lord Of House (12-1) took a valuable prize for Charlie Mann in the 32Red Handicap Hurdle.
