Scotland's Russell Knox held the clubhouse lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am after an impressive opening-round 64 in California.
Knox's six-under total included eight birdies and two bogeys on the Monterey Peninsula course.
America's Scott Langley was also on six under, having completed 15 holes of the Monterey Peninsula course, while compatriot Hunter Mahan was on the same mark after 15 holes of the Pebble Beach Course.
